Emebet Belete is from Ethiopia and has lived in Canada for 22 years, six of them here in the Bay of Quinte. Her husband’s job brought their family to the area. She is a studio artist and art educator with big plans to transform the landscape here in the resion. When asked what she loves about living here this is what she had to say: “The one thing I love about living here is the natural setting of my living area, as it is quiet. I look out my back window and I’m able to see and enjoy the trees, birds, rabbits and, in winter, the snow-covered trees and meadow.”
